What is an article slug?
A slug is the readable part of an article URL, such as /blog/ai-writing-guide. It is usually derived from the title and uses lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
Turn article titles into lowercase, hyphenated SEO slugs, with Chinese pinyin support for blogs and content URLs

Yes. Chinese text is converted to pinyin and then normalized to lowercase with hyphens. Polyphonic characters may produce unexpected pinyin; edit the input and generate again if needed.
Only English letters, numbers, and hyphens are kept. Spaces, punctuation, emoji, and other special characters are removed or replaced with hyphens.
A slug must fit in a URL, so punctuation and spaces are removed, letters are lowercased, and Chinese is converted to pinyin. For example, AI Writing for High-Quality Articles becomes ai-xie-zuo-gao-zhi-liang-wen-zhang-de-fang-fa.
A clear English or pinyin slug is easier to read and share, and avoids long percent-encoded URLs. It does not guarantee rankings, but it is a useful URL structure.
Recent slugs are stored only in this browser, up to five entries, and are never uploaded. Clearing browser data removes them.
